We got the first copies of “The adventures of Meriyem and Fanny the Dolphin”. This is the title of our latest children booklet aiming to promote the mobile app Black Sea Watch.
The fairy tale tells the story of the girl Meriyem that meets Fanny the Dolphin and together they discover the threats for the Black Sea wildlife but also ways to solve problems with the environment. The booklet targets the little children audience that can impersonate the main character and to become the future marine scientists of the Black Sea. One of the ways as the booklet prompts is to use the mobile app BLACKSEAWATCH on their parents’ smartphones and to collect information about the marine inhabitants. Of course the mobile app is not only for the youngest but for everyone interested in the life in and around the Black Sea.
The booklet is tri-lingual – Bulgarian, English and Turkish.
BLACK SEA WATCH Project is a joint initiative of Green Balkans NGO and TUDAV Foundation aiming to raise public awareness on Black Sea biodiversity and to stimulate development of “citizen science” – data collection and regular monitoring of different flora and fauna species by amateurs.
