On 23 and 24 August, TÜDAV Foundation - Turkish partner in BLACK SEA WATCH project "Black Sea Marine Environment Research With Public Participation" – has organized summer school for children at Limankoy village. The events were held in the local library and at the nearby Black Sea beach. TÜDAV experts talked to the kids about interesting details for the Black Sea inhabitants and dangers and threats these and whole sea face - invasive species and their impact on local fauna, pollution, overfishing and depleted fish stocks. Project manager from Green Balkans NGO has presented the diversity of Bulgarian Black Sea coast and importance of Black Sea for hundreds of bird species as breeding, resting and wintering site as well as migratory route. Discipline and attention demonstrated by the kids during the presentations and how quick these were in realizing the connections in the Black sea ecosystem were impressive.
Project coordinator demonstrated how to use the mobile app and the website BLACKSEAWATCH.ORG produced within the project. Children were introduced to main functions of the application for registration of user, submitting information with location and pictures for observed flora and fauna species, creation of map with reported findings, catalogue of species included in the applet. 
Limankoy village is situated on the sea shore of Strandzha mountain close to the port town of Igneada. Second day the children had the opportunity to find some of the species from the app’s species catalogue during a visit to the nearby beach where they found specific beach plants – sea holly and purple spurge as well as different crabs, sea shells and snails. After completion of the events the children were presented with certificates and T-shirts from the project.
