Due to the great desire of friends and followers to take part in the photo competition, and due to their inability, for some reason or other, to send photographs by the closing date, we have decided to extend the closing date until 31 July.

This will give each and every one of you, still not submitted photographs, to do so. According to the meteorologists, the weather until the end of July will be excellent, so you may wish to stroll in the amazingly beautiful areas in the Bulgarian part of the Green Belt.

Let us remind you of the three categories and prizes:
1. Place in the category “Amateurs”: Red-breasted goose photo album
1. Place in the category “Children (under 18 years)”: “Pomorie Lake Magic” jigsaw puzzle and “The adventures of Brent, the Red-breasted goose”
1. Place in the category “Professionals”: “The Magic of Pomorie Lake” photo album
The winners of the three categories will receive also, a field guide to the birds of Pomorie lake.
The Nature Park “Belasitsa” directorate joined the initiative, and will provide for the three winners one field guide for the butterflies “Butterflies in Belasitsa NP”.
Our partners from Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation will also add Tourist guides for Belasitsa, and will give out 10 additional prizes – Belasitsa guides and tourist maps, emblematic place for the Balkan Green Belt


How can the photos be submitted?
Send your pictures to: gb_photo@greenbalkans.org
No more than 3 pictures may be entered per person. Entries shall be in the form of digital colour pictures, submitted by email.
The following information must be submitted with the picture:
Photographer's name, Location where the picture was taken, Date when the picture was taken as well as the selected category of the contest.
Pictures that were not taken along the Balkan Green Belt will not be accepted.
The participation is free. The organisers will bear the organisational costs of the competition. The organisers are Green Balkans and EuroNatur (Germany).
