On 9 July, our Green Balkans made the first presentation within the “Natura 2000 in Bulgaria – New Horizons” project after the Visitor Centre is managed by the Pomorie Municipality, the Historical Museum of Pomorie.
As a continuation of Green Balkans educational activities at the Pomorie Lake, we made a presentation about the secret world of the bats and the cetaceans. Thanks to it and lots of photos, the visitors learned interesting facts about these protected species.
Natura 2000
Natura 2000 is the largest coordinated network for nature conservation. More than 30% of the territory of Bulgaria falls within the scope of the network - 120 areas for the protection of wild birds and 234 areas for the protection of natural habitats.
