On November 30 and December 1, Shabla hosted the traditional winter festival "Shabla and the Birds" 2024. During these two days, guests not only enjoyed a variety of entertainment, delicacies, and a festive atmosphere, but also an important information about the region, its nature, and resources.
Green Balkans actively participates in the festival every year. This year, we have placed the emphasis on marine mammals, but not only! Conservation of the Black Sea is responsibility of the entire society, because the resources it provides are a common good. One of the association’s latest projects is aimed at increasing the knowledge and commitment of young people to this cause – BSB00432 EOL “Environmental Education and Marine Literacy for the Black Sea”. Therefore, at our stand we demonstrated models from an exhibition that presents some of the most attractive inhabitants of the Black Sea in their natural size and colors – Black Sea species of jellyfish, garfish, scorpion fish, turbot and others.
