Past weekend, our team participated in the activities, part of the events RE: BAZAAR, Mission: Green Waves. The fresh idea is of the creators of Maina Town - comics combining history and art, presented in a captivating and exemplary way, capturing the young generation - the future of our society.
RE: BAZAAR is a green lifestyle event and festival of conscious consumption, sustainable practices, recycling and reuse of quality items, lectures and games. It takes place in various cities, and on April 5th and 6th it took place in Burgas, at Mall Galeria.
For us, the event provided an incredible opportunity to introduce guests and visitors to Green Balkans' educational activities regarding the Black Sea and its ecosystem, inhabitants and resources, as well as the threats and challenges they face. The exhibition of life-size Black Sea species, which aims to draw the audience's attention to the problems of the sea and ways to eliminate them, aroused interest.
During the event, one of the trainings on Environmental and Ocean Literacy for young adults was also held, with the participation of students from the ‘Barbatus’ Club at Trakia University, Stara Zagora, and other visitors. The training was held within the framework of the EOL project. The curious young people learned many new and interesting things about the way the marine ecosystem functions, talked about their relationship with the sea, discussed problems and their solutions, and became part of the cause of including each of us in the protection of marine ecosystems.
An extremely pleasant surprise for us was that the young participants demonstrated rich knowledge about the Black Sea ecosystem and its inhabitants.
